Now that we’ve had practice shooting from many angles, creating or telling narratives, and learning how to effectively do a sequence, it’s time for us to shoot a story including an interview and all that we have learned thus far. The video assignment due this week is called, Video Storytelling I, where we have to shoot and interview and include a-roll, b-roll, and natural sound. There has to be at least 3 sequences in the final edit that need to include shots from a wide, medium, close, and tight angle.
For my interview and video, I spoke to Robert “Robbie” Carroll, he departmental manager at the University of Kentucky Starbucks located inside of the Bill Gatton Student Center. Carroll is a recent graduate of the university and is only 22, so during our interview, I asked him various questions on what it’s like to be the youngest department manager the store has had.
